We offer 3 different plans for horses at Cheshire Retirement Livery that are the same during summer months but differ during winter. During summer months (May-October) all horses are out in fields 24/7. But during the winter months (November-April) owners have the option of Communal Barns, Duo Barns or Solo Bays to suit the needs of their horse. We do not provide 24/7 grass livery during winter months due to the wet winters in Cheshire.
Regardless of plan, all horses at Cheshire Retirement Livery receive the same high quality of care.
All Plans Include
-Beautiful environment with natural and built shelter
-Daily checks with grooming as required
-Regular feet picking and rug changes
-Quality grazing with suitable companions
-Small paddocks available for restricted grazing
-Laminitic sand paddock for zero grazing option
-Visiting welcomed anytime
-On call vet, farrier, dentist and nutritionist
-Farrier costs included with trims every 8 weeks
-Worming and egg count plan
-Home grown hay/haylage
-Regular updates about your horse
-Good security with private access
But for the winter months, owners have the choice of:
Communal Barns
Our large Communal Barns house horses together offering:
-housing in groups according to size & demeanour
-straw bedding
-access to large outdoor area of hardstanding
-access to quality haylage
-daily feed according to individual requirements
-rug changing according to the weather ensuring comfort
£300 per month
Duo Barns
The Duo Barns are a tailored housing option for horses offering:
-housing with 2/3 companion horses only
-straw bedding
-access to grass paddocks daily, weather permitting
-monitored feeding of haylage to fit horses needs
-daily feed according to individual requirements
-rug changing according to the weather ensuring comfort
£385 per month
Solo Bays
We have a limited number of 15 x 15 foot Solo Bays offering an individual space to horses featuring:
-straw bedding
-access to grass paddocks daily, weather permitting
-monitored feeding of haylage to fit horses needs
-daily feed according to individual requirements
-rug changing according to the weather ensuring comfort
£420 per month
The cost of livery for both plans is spread throughout the year to include farrier and worming charges.
